If you chose the this card, you are
in a period where your ego is deceiving you. The Green
Man represents the wild part of ourselves. You
may be shadow boxing with someone you believe to be an
enemy, but who is really just triggering feelings of
dissatisfaction about yourself and your life. You may
be obsessed with someone who brings out powerful emotions
for you. You may feel that your life is being
influenced by forces that are beyond your control, at least
for the time being.
Your "wild self" may
be breaking through in rebellion, but even if it does, it is
unlikely that you will be able to find the freedom you seek
at this time, because the force that is binding you is
yourself and your extreme emotions or bondage to the
material, whether that means your values are too materially
focused, or that you are enduring a period of lack of
resources.
The card may also indicate a
romantic relationship that is about to begin, but be
cautious because this may indicate a passion that may take
on a life of its own and transform you. Be sure your
partner is someone with whom you want to have this
experience. You may get carried into parts of yourself that
you have never seen before, for instance you may find you
are in a situation that brings out a temper that you didn't
know you had.

If you get this card, you may be
dealing with a person or a circumstance,
that is a delusion caused by your ego. This card can
also indicate that you are spending too much time partying
and you need to buckle down and get back to work.
You may have come up against
materialism or rigid belief systems. This may
represent your need to free yourself from your own
limitations but you are not able to do it at this time.
You may be obsessed with a person or idea that may be
romantic in nature, or it could represent your lower nature.
It may be greed, lust, hate, jealousy, or any of the baser
human emotions.
You need to look at the
situation you are in to see what it is trying to teach you
about yourself so you can resolve it and move forward in
your evolution. This card indicates an ego problem.
If you are in a relationship when this card keeps coming up,
it is a warning to take a look at the truth behind
appearances. Things may not be as positive as they
appear.
In the "Legend:The
Arthurian Tarot" this card is The Horned One, Cernunnos.
